We are looking to recruit into our newly developed service within our paediatric services as part of our ongoing expansion and development projects. As a newly developed service, we have vacancies to expand our nursing workforce within this area. We are keen to speak with paediatric registered nurses about their aspirations to develop a career in paediatrics and we are open and welcoming of agile working practices to enhance work life balance.
Our newly developed Day Procedures Unit incorporates all elective day surgery and planned day case admissions. Patient admissions vary across planned blood transfusions, medication infusions, complex investigations and elective surgery across multiple specialties (dental, ophthalmology, general surgery, ENT, orthopaedics). As such, nursing staff must be skilled, clinically competent and highly organized paediatric nurses who are able to safely and efficiently manage a high turnover of patients with complex care requirements.
Senior nursing staff will lead the team in the delivery of professional nursing care to patients ensuring the highest possible standards of care are received by patients and their carers. Responsible and accountable, for the assessment and planning of care for designated patients from admission to discharge. Utilises and integrates evidence into practice. Communicates effectively and efficiently with multiple professionals to support the continuity of care across multiple clinical areas. To assist the Ward Manager and deputise as appropriate in their absence. To act as an excellent clinical role model and team leader to all staff.
