Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse specialising in Paediatrics to join our children Home. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to young patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care tailored to paediatric patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions. Administer medications accurately in accordance with prescribed treatments, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols. Monitor vital signs and observe for any changes in condition, promptly reporting concerns to the medical team. Support families by providing education, reassurance, and guidance regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with legal and organisational standards. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery. Uphold infection control standards and ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

Valid registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Proven experience in paediatric nursing or a related field is desirable but not essential; relevant training will be provided. Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to paediatric care and medication administration procedures. Excellent patient care skills with an empathetic approach towards children and their families. Ability to work effectively within a team whilst demonstrating initiative and professionalism. Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and medication management.
