Paid Media Manager

Bishop's Castle, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Adventure Cinema

Adventure Cinema is the UK's biggest outdoor cinema company, touring iconic venues and beautiful open-air locations across the country, with over 300 shows every year. We bring classic films, modern favourites and family days out to tens of thousands of people annually, and have done so for the last 7 years.

We're looking for a Paid Media Manager who can both run the numbers and make the ads look amazing. Someone who lives in Ads Manager and also has a strong eye for creatives that actually convert.

The role

You'll manage day-to-day paid media for Adventure Cinema across our key channels (primarily Facebook and Instagram currently, but also TikTok, Google and others where relevant), planning and delivering campaigns that sell tickets efficiently across dozens of locations and films.

Unlike a pure "media buyer" role, we ideally also want you to be comfortable on the creative side: turning ideas and assets into scroll-stopping ads, editing video clips, testing hooks, and helping shape the overall creative direction of our campaigns.

You'll work closely with the Directors and wider marketing team to:

Plan and launch campaigns for new shows, films and locations Continually test and optimise campaigns, budgets and creatives Manage the outsourcing of more complex creatives. Report clearly on performance and ROAS, and suggest next moves Help us keep Adventure Cinema at the top of people's "things to do" list all summer long
The role is predominantly based at our head office in Bishop's Castle, Shropshire.

Key responsibilities

Paid media strategy & execution

Plan, build and optimise performance-focused campaigns (primarily Meta Ads, plus TikTok Ads, Google Ads, YouTube and other platforms where appropriate). Run full-funnel media for ticket sales: prospecting, retargeting, upsell and loyalty. Manage and pace budgets across multiple venues and films, ensuring strong ROAS and efficient CPA. Set up and maintain tracking, pixels and conversion events, working with our website and ticketing partners where needed. Run structured A/B and multivariate tests (audiences, placements, creative, landing pages) and turn results into clear actions.

Creative development & production (Preferred but not essential)

Turn event footage, stills, graphics and UGC into high-performing ad creatives (static and video). Use tools like Adobe / Canva / CapCut to quickly build and iterate ads yourself. Work with any designers / creators we use to brief, refine and select the best creative for testing. Continually refresh creative to avoid fatigue and keep CTRs and engagement high.

Reporting, insight & optimisation

Produce clear weekly reports on performance, ROAS and key learnings, with recommended next steps. Build simple dashboards in Sheets/Data Studio/Looker Studio to track performance across venues, films and campaigns. Analyse performance by audience, location, film, creative and placement to find scalable pockets of growth. Translate data into plain English for non-technical stakeholders: what's working, what's not, and what we're doing next.

Collaboration & growth

Work closely with the Directors and operations team to align marketing plans with tour schedules and ticketing windows. Contribute ideas for new offers, bundles, landing page improvements and customer journeys. Keep up to date with changes on all ad platforms and bring fresh ideas to the table. Input into wider marketing strategy (email, partnerships, content) where paid can play a role.

About you

We're looking for someone who is both analytical and creative, and genuinely enjoys selling experiences and events online.

You will ideally have:

3+ years' hands-on experience running paid media campaigns (agency or in-house) with a strong bias towards Meta Ads. Proven experience driving ecommerce or ticket sales and managing meaningful monthly ad spend. Solid understanding of campaign structure, conversion tracking, remarketing, broad targeting and attribution basics. Confident use of Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Google Ads and analytics tools (GA4, Looker Studio or similar). Competence in creating and editing ad creatives. A test-and-learn mindset: you enjoy setting hypotheses, running experiments and learning quickly from the data. Strong written and verbal communication skills. You can explain the "why" behind the "what" clearly and calmly. Comfortable working fairly autonomously, prioritising your own workload and hitting deadlines across multiple campaigns. Experience working with Google Suite

Nice to have (but not essential):

Experience marketing events, attractions or leisure experiences. Familiarity with ticketing platforms. A personal interest in film, cinema or live events. Experience working with UGC creators or influencer-style content.

Competitive salary based on experience Hybrid role, with flexibility around life and events. The chance to shape the paid media and creative strategy of the UK's biggest outdoor cinema company Tickets to our events A small, ambitious team where your work has a visible, direct impact
