As a seasoned digital marketer with experience managing multi-channel paid campaigns, this role is responsible for planning, implementing, and optimising paid advertising campaigns across various digital channels. Delivery of core PPC activities will be outsourced to a specialist agency, but this role will require a strong understanding of PPC, ideally through maintaining the Google Ads Search (GAS) qualification as a minimum (ideally holding others).

The Group Paid Media Manager will work closely with the Group Creative and Content Manager to ensure content is created to support the paid campaign activities planned by the Group Paid Media Manager; they will also work closely with the Group Platform Manager, Group Marketing Optimisation Manager and Group Marketing Automation Manager to ensure that campaign landing pages, client journeys and follow-up email marketing activities maximise client engagement and conversion to become a high-quality, high-converting lead for the sales team.

Initially, the Group Paid Media Manager will work alongside our existing PPC agency, Reflect Digital, across multiple territories as well as directly managing some accounts of their own.

Job Purpose



To support the group marketing function in:



Driving web traffic, generating leads and creating opportunities for our inside sales team through a variety of channels (primarily paid search, organic search, paid social media, display ads, partner/affiliate marketing).

Accountabilities:



Planning and Co-ordination



Responsible for developing, executing and optimising paid media programmes such as search, programmatic, native advertising, and paid social campaigns including Google, Facebook and LinkedIn, both in collaboration with external agencies but also on a direct, hands-on basis where required.

Build campaign strategy aligned with marketing objectives that span between direct response (primarily) and branding.

Evaluate budget levels and campaign set-ups of new and existing accounts, and provide recommendations for improvement. Monitor spend versus budget to ensure campaigns are maintained in accordance with agreed levels.

Set up and work with the Group Platform Manager to ensure that technical set-ups for paid social campaigns are in place, i.e. placing pixels, setting up conversion goals, setting up Ads Manager accounts, etc.

Perform daily reviews of pay per click accounts.

Provide execution-based PPC recommendations, in accordance with external third-party agencies.

Generate new paid search campaigns, ad groups and develop keyword lists.

Work closely with the Content team to provide strategic analysis and support on what is performing well or not. This will inform creative decision making for campaign landing pages.

Liaise with agencies, the Group Platform Manager and Group Marketing Optimisation Manager to ideate, develop, test and optimise landing pages that maximise the conversion of high-quality traffic.

Provide insights and recommendations on efficient campaign management and reporting tools.

Reporting



Report on the performance of paid media activities and providing recommendations for moving forward.

Report on the 'quality' of traffic generated

Monitor and report on competitor activities and performance; identify opportunities for improvement.

Measure and analyse the effectiveness and ROI of all PPC activities, in collaboration with the Group Marketing Optimisation Manager and Data and Insights Team.

Leverage insights from analytics platform to make changes to paid search campaigns.

Generate Weekly and Monthly reporting for the leadership team and develop actionable insights using performance data pulled from Google Analytics and Hubspot.

Managing



Managing the relationship with and deliverables of third party agencies and contributors.

Overseeing paid media accounts on a daily and weekly basis to ensure spend is both efficient and in-line with target volumes and CPLs.

Success criteria



Achieving target volumes of lead generation within allocated budgets. Maintaining/reducing CPLs and CPAs. Increasing landing page and campaign conversion rates by improving user experience through leveraging best practices and A?B testing. A 'can-do' attitude.

Required skills and experience



A proven track record managing (directly or indirectly) paid search campaigns and working on paid social and remarketing campaigns for multinational businesses, ideally in-house or at an agency where this represents your primary hands-on client. Highly experienced in hands-on work with Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads and, preferably, Doubleclick. A strong understanding of the key positive and negative factors that influence costs-per-click, conversion rates and target customer behaviours. Familiar with A/B testing methodologies and confident in making recommendations. Excellent copywriting skills - English must be your first language and you must be able to demonstrate your ability to produce high quality written content. Experience in high-consideration products. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. An ability to work well within a team. Excellent and meticulous attention to detail. Well versed in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Candidates with any/all of the following skills and experience will have an advantage



Google Ads Certified e-Commerce experience. Knowledge of the testing, inspection and certification (TIC) market. Experience promoting Software-as-a-Service products. Fluent in Italian and/or Spanish.
