We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paid Social Media Lead to lead the strategy, execution, and optimisation of paid social media campaigns at Oxford Nanopore. You will have a primary focus on LinkedIn and will also manage campaigns across Meta (Facebook, Instagram) and X (formerly Twitter).



The Details.



You will be responsible for driving brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation through targeted and data-driven campaigns. Reporting directly to the Social Media Manager within the marketing team, you'll have end-to-end control to shape our paid social media.



Responsibilities include:


Campaign Strategy & Development:


Be responsible for our paid social media activity, developing an effective data-driven strategy Collaborate with internal teams to develop, plan, and execute paid social strategies aligned with business objectives. Define target audiences and creative approaches for campaigns across LinkedIn, Meta, and X. Test new campaigns and new channels with a strong focus on balanced growth, moving quickly to adjust our approach based on results.
Campaign Execution & Management


Launch and manage paid social campaigns across platforms, ensuring timely delivery and performance. Oversee the implementation of A/B testing on ads, creatives, and landing pages to improve performance.
Optimisation & Performance Management


Continuously supervise and optimise campaigns to improve return on investment, CPA, and other key performance indicators. Implement data-driven strategies to improve performance across platforms, including audience targeting, bidding, and ad placement
Reporting & Analysis


Provide detailed and actionable reports on campaign performance, highlight successes and areas for improvement and drive data-led decision making in day-to-day optimisation, goal setting and longer-term strategy. Present insights and recommendations to key stakeholders based on performance metrics. Work with our MarTech teams to ensure the data correctly filters into our CRM.
Budget Management


Support with managing campaign budgets and ensure spend is allocated efficiently across platforms to meet goals and objectives. Track and report on budget utilisation and make necessary adjustments to meet performance targets.

Collaboration & Communication


Work closely with the Social, Campaign, Content and Martech teams to ensure campaign consistency and optimisation. Maintain open communication with key stakeholders on campaign progress and outcomes. Work with the Regional Marketing Teams to develop localised strategies and help them plug into global campaigns. Be a dedicated support resource to ensure regional teams are aligned with global objectives and are equipped with the vital tools and guidance.

What We're Looking For.



Degree in marketing, communications, business, digital marketing, data analytics, or life sciences, or equivalent experience Proven experience in running paid social campaigns, especially on LinkedIn Experience with Meta and X is a plus. A background in digital marketing, with a focus on B2B and B2C campaigns. Experience in data analysis and using insights to improve campaign performance. Consistent record of optimising campaigns to meet performance goals while staying within budget. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in reporting tools like HubSpot, Sprout Social, SalesForce or similar. Understanding of audience targeting, retargeting, and segmentation strategies. Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies, conversion rate optimisation, and lead generation strategies.

Additional experience:



Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple campaigns simultaneously. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment. Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail. Experience in the biotech/life science industry a bonus.
