Position Title: Paint Sprayer
Location: Paneltex Ltd, Somerden Road, Hull, HU9 5PE
Reporting to: Manager/Supervisor/Team Leader
Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 15:00 to 00:00 and Friday 12:00 to 18:00
Salary: From 15.90 per hour

Job Overview
As a Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint coatings using specialised equipment such as spray guns. Your duties will include ensuring that surfaces are properly prepared, primed, and painted according to specified requirements, achieving high-quality finishes and meeting client expectations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces by filling cracks, holes, and joints to ensure a smooth and even surface for painting.

Choose appropriate paint materials and colours based on job specifications. Mix paints to achieve the desired colour and consistency.

Utilise spray guns and other painting equipment to apply paint coatings evenly and efficiently.

Inspect finished surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Perform routine maintenance on painting tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality and longevity.

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling and applying paint, including the use of protective gear and proper ventilation.

Be familiar with the company's Health and Safety Policies and in particular with your responsibilities.

Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, included in the company handbook.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Car/Vehicle or Commercial paint sprayer experience

At least 3 to 5 years Paint Spraying experience

Ability to do small repairs

Ability to use different paint products

Effective communication includes speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions

Ability to prioritise and organise workload in order to meet deadlines

Good understanding of Health and Safety

Excellent work ethic and team player

Excellent timekeeping and attendance

Flexible approach to working additional hours when required.
