We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes across various Timber projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction painting, prepping/preparation, or warehouse environments to utilise their technical skills in a dynamic setting. The ideal applicant will possess experience with hand tools and power tools, and a commitment to safety and precision.
Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Operate and maintain power tools such as drills, sanders, and spray guns safely and efficiently
Assist with fabrication and assembly tasks as required for project completion
Use basic maths skills to measure areas accurately and mix paints or materials to specified ratios
Conduct quality checks on finished work to meet company standards and client expectations
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Collaborate with team members on large-scale projects involving construction painting or warehouse refurbishment
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction painting, fabrication, or warehouse environments is preferred
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely
Familiarity with Timber techniques is advantageous but not essential
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
Experience with assembly tasks and the use of hand tools in a workshop or industrial setting
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality finishes
Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Relevant certifications or training in painting or related trades are a plus
