Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator with AMES taping experience to join our newly formed Decorating division.

This is an exciting time to join a growing business with plans to expand this function and the right candidate will lead this function as it grows.

The ideal candidate will have experience in construction with a valid CSCS card, preferably IPAF and PASMA certs, a full drivers license and the ability to travel across Scotland, often working away from home and night shift working.

We have an outstanding record of repeat business across joinery and construction, our decorator will work alongside our existing teams and fulfil works as required.

Duties

AMES taping to newly formed plasterboard walls, sanding and preparing for decoration. Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with client specifications/ scope of works. Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, ensuring they are safe to use. Communicate effectively with senior management. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment. Drive to various job sites as required, ensuring timely arrival and efficient work practices.

Skills

Proficient in construction painting techniques, AMES taping, filling with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with clients and colleagues. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A valid driving licence is preferred for travelling to different job locations. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality results on every project. We are looking for someone who is aspiring to become a leader and who can grow with the role and new division.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 17.00-22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
