Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction painting and possess excellent communication skills. This role involves transforming spaces through high-quality painting and decorating, ensuring that all work meets our high standards of excellence. A valid driving licence is essential for this position, as travel to various job sites will be required.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Install wallpaper and other decorative materials as required. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within specified timeframes. Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times. Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure satisfaction with the finished product. Adhere to health and safety regulations while on site.

Qualifications

Proven experience in painting and decorating is essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A valid driving licence is required for travel between job sites. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workmanship. Previous experience with wallpaper installation is advantageous but not mandatory.
