Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction painting and possess excellent communication skills. This role involves working on various projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and attention to detail. A valid driving licence is essential as the position may require travel to different job sites.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Mix paints and other materials to achieve desired colours and textures. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with safety regulations. Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and provide professional advice on colour schemes and finishes. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any issues promptly. Keep work areas clean and organised throughout the duration of projects.

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting is essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driving licence is required for travel between job sites. Previous experience in a similar role will be advantageous but not mandatory for the right candidate willing to learn.
