Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality finishes. This role involves working on various projects, including residential and commercial properties, ensuring that all painting and decorating tasks are completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Select appropriate materials and colours based on client specifications and project requirements. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and best practices. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on progress. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Collaborate with other tradespeople as necessary to ensure project completion.

Skills

Proficient in construction painting techniques with a strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between job sites. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong organisational skills.
