Overview

We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design, demonstrating both creativity and attention to detail. We are working on a large project in Chepstow in which we will have ongoing work for the next few months. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Select appropriate materials and techniques for each project to ensure high-quality results. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and provide professional advice on colour schemes and finishes. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations. Collaborate with other tradespeople when necessary to complete projects efficiently. Keep accurate records of materials used and time spent on each job.

Qualifications

Proven experience in painting and decorating is preferred. Strong communication skills in English are essential for interacting with clients and team members. Ability to work independently while managing time effectively to meet deadlines. A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality workmanship. Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials is advantageous.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 15.00-17.00 per hour
