Overview

We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design. This role involves interior painting, as well as decorative finishes, ensuring high-quality workmanship that meets our clients' expectations. The successful applicant will be able to communicate effectively with clients and team members, demonstrating professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Select and mix colours to achieve desired effects as per client specifications. Conduct repairs and maintenance on painted surfaces to ensure longevity and aesthetics. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour schemes and finishes. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure all tools are properly cared for. Adhere to safety regulations while working with hazardous materials and equipment.

Experience

Proven experience in painting and decorating is essential. Proficiency in English is required to effectively communicate with colleagues. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between job sites. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism. Experience with various painting techniques and decorative finishes is advantageous.
