Overview

We are seeking a self employed Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction painting and possess excellent communication skills. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, and ensuring high-quality workmanship on various projects. A van is essential for this position, as travel to different job sites will be required.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections. Apply paints, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with project specifications. Communicate effectively with clients and team members to understand project requirements and timelines. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any issues promptly. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting or a similar role is preferred. Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and colleagues. A valid driving licence is required for travel to various job sites. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality results on time.
