Overview

We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction painting and have a keen eye for detail. This role involves transforming spaces through the application of paint, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections. Apply paints, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Hang wallpaper and apply decorative finishes as required. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within specified timeframes. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on progress. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting is essential. Strong communication skills in English to liaise with clients and team members effectively. Ability to drive is preferred for transportation to various job sites. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials is advantageous.
