We have a great opportunity for an experienced painter to join our team helping to managing repairs and support new developments at our council properties.

This is an exciting opportunity based within our trade team that helps us to deliver our maintenance services across Test Valley Borough Council.

The team

The trade team you would be joining is made up of professional and friendly, supportive colleagues. The team work together and take on all aspects of construction work from electrics and plumbing to carpentry and building.

What you'll be doing

As one of our painters, you'll get to take on not only painting but a whole variety of jobs, as well as being given the opportunity to 'multi-task' and get involved in other areas of the team's work. We work across a range of commercial properties, and you will be assisting with the established team of trades, carrying out maintenance and refurbishment work.

Salary and experience

We are looking for an all-round experienced individual and a full driving licence is required, which enables you to drive a Council-owned van.

Working flexibly

About the council service the trade team sit in

Test Valley Borough Council's Property and Asset Management Service manages the councils' buildings and this includes; utility management, lease management, preventative and reactive maintenance activities, workspace management, facilities management and cleaning.
