Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both residential and commercial painting, with the ability to work on various projects including renovations and restorations. This role requires attention to detail, a good understanding of color theory, and proficiency with hand and power tools. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes. Must have own tools and transport

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as necessary. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Mix and match colors according to specifications and color theory principles. Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the duration of the project.

Skills

Proficient in construction estimating and understanding project costs. Strong knowledge of residential and commercial painting techniques. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and airless paint spraying equipment. Experience in carpentry including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, and maintenance person tasks is advantageous. Knowledge of industrial painting practices is a plus.
