Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality painting services for both residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of color theory, construction techniques, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Duties



Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and airless paint spraying equipment. Execute residential and commercial painting projects with precision and quality craftsmanship. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks including caulking, plastering, and trim carpentry. Conduct restoration work on existing structures while maintaining the integrity of the original design. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Assist in estimating project costs based on material needs and labor requirements.

Qualifications



Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting. Strong knowledge of color theory and application techniques. Familiarity with construction estimating practices is a plus. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents relevant to painting projects. Experience with plastering, stucco application, caulking, concrete finishing, masonry, renovation, remodeling, and fixture installation is desirable. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to painting tasks. Basic math skills for measuring areas accurately for paint coverage calculations. Prior experience on construction sites is preferred; maintenance person experience is advantageous. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
