Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter & Decorator to join our team on a live project. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint via brush and roller on external metal to a high standard. Applicants should possess strong communication skills and a good understanding of construction painting techniques, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Ideal candidate would have valid IPAF 3A & 3B license. This is for an immediate start, please feel free to apply and we will reach out.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes to various surfaces in accordance with project specifications. Mix paints and colours to achieve desired shades and consistency. Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding equipment safely and effectively. Ensure all work is completed within specified timeframes while maintaining high-quality standards. . Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred. Knowledge of different painting techniques and surface preparation methods. Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting tools and materials between sites. Fluency in English is essential for understanding instructions and communicating effectively with clients and colleagues. Strong communication skills are necessary to liaise confidently with team members and clients regarding project requirements. Prior experience working on both interior and exterior projects will be considered an asset. Pay: 20.00-25.00 per hour
