Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter & Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects within the construction and refurbishment sectors, contributing to both commercial and residential properties. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling imperfections to ensure a smooth finish. Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards. Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project. Assist in colour matching and selecting appropriate materials for each project.

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred. Knowledge of different painting techniques and surface preparation methods. Familiarity with health and safety procedures relevant to the trade. Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between sites efficiently.
Circa 8-12 weeks work available for the right candidate.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 165.00-175.00 per day

Expected hours: 40 per week
