Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting and possess strong communication skills. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint and finishes, and ensuring high-quality workmanship in both residential and commercial settings. A valid driving licence is essential for this position as travel to various job sites will be required.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with safety regulations. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on progress. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order. Collaborate with other tradespeople on site as necessary to ensure project timelines are met. Keep work areas clean and organised throughout the duration of projects.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting is preferred. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driving licence is required for travel between job sites. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality results. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to painting and decorating is advantageous.
