Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable

Painter, Decorator, Plasterer, Finisher

to carry out high-quality surface preparation, plastering, painting, and decorative finishing works across residential and commercial sites. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver a professional finish to all interior and exterior surfaces.

Key ResponsibilitiesSurface Preparation & Plastering

Carry out all aspects of plastering including skimming, bonding, patch repairs, and dry-lining Repair damaged walls and ceilings and ensure surfaces are prepped to a smooth, paint-ready standard Sand and smooth surfaces using hand or power tools

Painting & Decorating

Apply undercoats, primers, emulsions, gloss, and other paint finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers Hang wallpaper or vinyl wall coverings if required Mix and match paint colours accurately according to project specifications

Finishing Works

Perform final touch-ups and snagging to ensure the highest quality finish Ensure all areas are left clean and tidy with protective coverings removed and surfaces spotless Carry out silicone sealing, caulking, and minor repair work as needed

Health & Safety

Follow all company H&S procedures and use appropriate PPE Maintain clean, safe working conditions at all times

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience in painting, decorating, and plastering Ability to deliver a high-quality finish consistently Strong knowledge of materials, tools, and finishing techniques Ability to read drawings or project briefs and work to specification Excellent attention to detail and work ethic Good communication and time management skills Own tools and transport (if required)

Desirable Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plastering or Painting & Decorating (or equivalent) CSCS Card (preferred) PASMA/IPAF (if working at height)
