Commercial & Industrial -

Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.



The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the

bar high

in their highly complex market!

Vacancy Details



As a painter your role will be to apply protective coatings to the correct specifications to the steelwork that is going through the factory.



You will check that the steel piece is adequate from blast profile and the surface is clean and ready for application or protective products. You'll check the wet pool thickness and make sure the correct coatings are applied to the steel.



Key Responsibilities Include:


Operating and maintaining

airless paint pumps

for efficient application. Applying

multicoat systems

and

intumescent coatings

, including both

single-pack and two-pack coatings

. Working in an

off-site painting facility

, ensuring high-quality finishes in a controlled environment. Safely using

overhead cranes

to manoeuvre and turn components during the painting process. Conducting

manual blasting in a blast booth

to prepare surfaces for coating.

Required Experience:


Previous experience in an

industrial painting

or

coatings

role. Strong understanding of

paint application techniques

and

coating specifications

. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to

health & safety

procedures and quality standards.
