Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Panel Beater to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodywork to its original condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with various tools and equipment.

Duties

Assess damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to repair or replace damaged panels. Assemble and fit new parts according to manufacturer specifications. Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations. Read and interpret schematics to understand repair requirements. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist in heavy lifting as required during the repair process.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Panel Beater or in a similar role within the automotive industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Ability to read and understand technical schematics. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with customers. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
