Overview

The role of Panel Cutter & Sewing Machinistwithin the mattress factory is a key one to ensure the smooth operation of the factory. The job holder will initially report to the MD.

Duties

Oversees the workflow as directed on the weekly P&T list Take product specifications and fabric choices from the customer's work order form Prepare mattress panels and borders via cutting and sewing to the product's specifications Prepare divan and bedstead base cases by cutting and sewing as directed on the work order All finished work will be fed to the factory's senior mattress maker and upholsterer

The firm's popular Suffolk Journeyman Range has been in production since the late 1980s. In addition, the firm also deals in genuine antique bedsteads and fine reproduction models too under the Bed Bazaar and Bonobeds brands.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: From 7.55 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week
