Supplier technology plays an important part of new designs so it is anticipated that supplier and purchasing communication will be frequent. Preferred suppliers will be used wherever possible in a manner that ensures high quality products are available using most efficient manufacturing processes. Comparisons with competitor's products will be expected as projects require.

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Panel Wirer to work in our controls department on a fixed term 4 -6 month contract reporting to Controls Team Leader.

The Role

To wire controls panels for a variety of Airedale product ranges to a high standard, working with wire sizes ranging from 0.5 - 70mm To be involved in team activities to improve production, quality and health and safety within the department.

Desired Skills/Experience

The successful candidate should have the following skills:

Must be able to read, understand and wire to electrical schematics To be able to set and use torque wrenches to tighten components To be able to wire panels containing switch gear rated up to 400A To be able to build panels using a layout when production dictates To be able to use hydraulic crimps for lugs ranging from 10 - 70mm in size To be able to wire in a neat, systematic and time efficient manner A recognised electrical qualification would be an advantage Electrical assembly/ panel wiring experience is essential Flexibility to work within a team and having ability to carry out tasks on own initiative
Training will be provided for the right applicant to develop the skills & knowledge required for the position.

Pay: From 25,800.16 per year
