Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of the daily duties.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to various locations. Load and unload items, ensuring that all products are handled with care. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Assist in the warehouse when not on delivery routes, including organising stock and preparing items for dispatch.

Experience

Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. A valid driving licence suitable for operating vans is required.
