Wolverhampton, Birmingham, or Basingstoke (5 days office-based)

Hours:

Full-time, permanent, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5.30 pm

Salary:

26000 per annum, 25 Days Holidays plus Bank Holidays, Company Pension.

The Opportunity;

We are seeking a diligent and motivated Paralegal to join our in-house legal team, supporting Tomato Energy's strategic and compliance objectives in the dynamic UK energy sector. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a law graduate to develop their career within a forward-thinking organisation, contributing to a range of commercial and property legal matters.

Key Responsibilities;

Assisting in drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial contracts, including supplier agreements and partnerships. Supporting commercial property matters, such as leases, acquisitions, and agreements related to energy infrastructure projects. Conducting legal research and providing summaries to support compliance with regulatory frameworks, including Ofgem's Standard Licence Conditions. Assisting with corporate governance, risk management, and transactional tasks under the direction of senior legal team members. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of legal support. Undertaking ad-hoc legal tasks as instructed, ensuring precision and attention to detail.

Candidate Requirements;

A Law Degree (LLB or equivalent) from a recognised institution. Understanding and knowledge of general commercial and commercial property law. Previous legal work experience (e.g., paralegal, legal assistant, or internship) is advantageous but not essential. Strong research, analytical, and organisational skills with a meticulous attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team. Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to develop within the renewable energy sector.
