We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support lawyers in their practice by conducting research, drafting documents, and managing case files. This role is essential in ensuring that our legal operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our firm.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including briefs, motions, and contracts.
Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
Organise and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
Manage schedules and deadlines for various cases using Outlook and other office software.
Prepare summaries of depositions, interrogatories, and other legal documents.
Assist with trial preparation by gathering evidence and organising exhibits.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations throughout all processes.
Skills
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for document creation and management.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Effective time management abilities to meet deadlines under pressure.
Familiarity with IT systems relevant to legal practices is advantageous.
A keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks performed.
Previous experience in an office environment is preferred but not essential.
