Paralegal - Child Care

Location:

Salary:

Up to 25,000 per annum plus on-target bonus

We are currently seeking an empathetic yet ambitious Paralegal to join our Public Law Child Care Team in London. You will provide support to fee earners on cases involving children whose care is the subject of social work involvement.


This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with 1-2 days per week in our London office, together with court attendance as required.

What We're Looking For:

A caring and enthusiastic personality, with a warm interpersonal manner The ability to build trust and engage sensitively with clients who may be under severe stress, often vulnerable, and facing complex proceedings Strong organisational and drafting skills A genuine interest in child care and public law


It is desirable, though not essential, that you have successfully completed a law degree and PGDL/LPC.

Key Responsibilities:

Communicating and meeting with clients Handling new client enquiries Drafting letters and witness statements Preparing and updating court bundles Arranging instruction of experts Submitting legal aid applications and liaising with the LAA Attending court to assist Counsel Advocacy at less complex court directions hearings
