This role sits within Shoosmiths' national Commercial Property Litigation team, supporting a wide range of clients including developers, landlords, tenants, and corporate occupiers.
The successful candidate will assist in delivering high-quality legal services in relation to commercial property disputes, including:
Lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954
Break notices and forfeiture
Dilapidations and service charge disputes
Recovery of rent and other arrears
Easement and restrictive covenant disputes
Property-related insolvency matters
You will work closely with solicitors and partners across the team, managing your own caseload and supporting larger matters, with opportunities to develop client relationships and contribute to business development.

Shoosmiths' Property Litigation team is one of the largest and most respected in the UK, known for its depth of expertise and commercial approach.
The team acts for household names in retail, leisure, and real estate investment, as well as public sector bodies and developers.

Skills and Qualifications
Experience in commercial property litigation or general property litigation preferred
Law Degree, LPC, or CILEX qualification (completed or in progress) preferred
Excellent client care and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
A proactive, positive, and adaptable approach to work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
