We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal or Conveyancing Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting our conveyancing department by ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to managing their workload, contributing to the smooth operation of property transactions.
Duties
Assisting solicitors and fee earners with all aspects of residential and commercial conveyancing matters
Preparing and reviewing documents such as contracts, Land Registry forms, and searches
Opening, maintaining, and closing client files in line with firm procedures
Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties via email, phone, and in person
Keeping clients regularly updated and ensuring deadlines are met
Assisting with post-completion work, including registration and file archiving
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and notes
Communicate effectively with solicitors, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather necessary information.
Manage the scheduling of appointments and meetings, ensuring that all parties are informed and prepared.
Organise and prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Provide general office support as required, including answering phone calls and managing incoming correspondence.
Skills
Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Must have prior experience in conveyancing.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in IT applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Exceptional organisational abilities to maintain order in documentation and workflow.
Familiarity with office procedures and practices is advantageous.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
