About the Role

We are a small, specialist legal practice focusing on

employment law

. We are looking to recruit a

Trainee Paralegal

through the

Skills Development Scotland Modern Apprenticeship scheme

.

This is an excellent opportunity for a

school leaver or college student aged 19 or under

who is organised, calm under pressure, and interested in a career in law.

You will receive

fully funded formal training

alongside hands-on, practical experience in a real legal practice, with direct mentoring from an experienced employment solicitor.

What You'll Be Doing

You will support the practice with

legal administration, case preparation, and client intake

, including:

Managing new client enquiries and intake forms Identifying key dates and legal deadlines (with training) Preparing chronologies and case summaries Assisting with Employment Tribunal and ACAS Early Conciliation administration Drafting standard letters and documents using templates Organising files and maintaining case management systems Supporting the solicitor with preparation before advice is given
You will

not

be expected to give legal advice -- training and supervision are provided at all times.
