Our Employment Rights Equal Pay team, based in Liverpool, are looking for a Paralegal to join them and provide essential support on a high volume of complex multi claimant cases. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience in employment and equal pay litigation within a market leading team.

The role...

As a Paralegal, you will play a key supporting role within the Employment Rights Equal Pay team, assisting lawyers with the day to day progression of claims. Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with the preparation and management of multi claimant equal pay cases.

Supporting lawyers on existing files and helping to progress cases through the litigation process.
Drafting correspondence and legal documents.
Preparing bundles and assisting with disclosure exercises.
Liaising with clients, tribunals, Counsel and other third parties.
Using case management systems and Microsoft Office effectively to maintain accurate records.

You will work under supervision within a supportive team environment, producing high quality work and managing tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.

Who we are looking for...

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Previous experience in a legal environment, ideally within litigation or employment law, although this is not essential.

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
A clear and confident communication style, both written and verbal.
An empathetic and professional approach to client care.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and manage competing priorities.
Good IT skills and confidence using electronic case management systems.

This role would suit someone looking to build a long term career in employment law, with the opportunity to learn from highly experienced legal professionals and develop their knowledge of equal pay litigation.
