Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a paralegal to join our Private Client Property Team. This role would suit LLB graduates looking to take the SQE route to qualification, or LPC graduates looking to gain work experience before commencing a period of recognised training.

Paralegals are responsible for helping solicitors prepare core client documentation, as well as investigating and researching matters and ensuring that all relevant information is considered. They will also identify appropriate laws, legal decisions, legal articles, and other materials that are relevant to assigned matters.

Our Private Client Team offers a constant high volume of work to tight timescales. This role reports into a Partner or a Senior Fee Earner and will assist Solicitors with a variety of administrative, organisation, communication and research tasks including typing support as required.

It is expected that the successful applicant will study for an LPC / CILEX (or other equivalent) professional qualification in parallel to performing the paralegal role.

Experience and knowledge:

Previous experience of support or paralegal roles or equivalent work experience would be beneficial.

Strong IT literacy. Ideally previous experience of a Case Management system.

Excellent attention to detail.

Client focused with an ability to build strong relationships with clients.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work to deadlines, autonomously, prioritise own workload effectively under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.

Demonstrable proactive, energetic, and tenacious approach to identifying issues and solving problems.

Committed and enthusiastic.
