Position Summary - Paralegal



We are looking for a paralegal to provide support and assistance in the smooth operation of the firm's cases. The role will be offered as a one-year full-time fixed contract.

Responsibilities:



Assisting with the preparation of financial disclosure, including the organising of enclosures and attachments to Forms E, and replies to questionnaires (etc.)

Paginating and preparing electronic and paper court bundles and papers to counsel

Liaising with chambers clerks regarding the availability of counsel, counsels' fees etc

Taking detailed attendance notes at client meetings and court hearings

Assisting the solicitors as required with research and casework

Carrying out Companies House searches and Land Registry searches, as required

Assisting with archiving procedures, and maintaining electronic and paper records

Urgent deliveries of documents to court, and counsels' chambers (etc.)

Assisting the partner in charge of the library, keeping it in good order and accurately indexed

Monitoring the receipt of, and updating, loose leaf volumes for the library

Assisting the clerk with the issuing of court applications and obtaining hearing dates, and liaising as required with the listing office of the court and with the counsel's clerk

Providing any assistance required with outdoor clerking, reception or administrative duties, as requested by any of the partners or by the support management team

Key Competencies/Skills:



Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, challenging environment to tight deadlines

Organised, disciplined, and thorough, with a high degree of attention to detail

Good written and verbal communication skills

Proactive and flexible in their approach to work

Strong IT skills - including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF

Education:



A degree in law or a non-law degree but with the Graduate Diploma in Law is required

Legal Practice Course (LPC) completed, or in progress, or the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) in progress, would be preferred

The working hours for this role are full-time, from Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 6.00pm. We operate a hybrid working environment, with the option to work from home two days each week following the successful completion of your probationary period.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 31,000.00-32,000.00 per year
