An opportunity has arisen to recruit a Paralegal to join our growing legal team.
The team works closely with our commercial, technical and finance departments to provide high quality, business focused advice; supporting with risk management to help make sound commercial decisions. This role will provide support on a wide range of legal matters but with a strong focus on litigation and procurement support.
The role will be based in our London office, with the possibility of occasional travel to meetings in the UK and Ireland.###
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Legal - Operations, the key duties and responsibilities will be:Providing litigation support, including documentation management, project support, and assisting with disclosure.
Providing procurement support, including managing legal support for the procurement of goods and services, negotiating terms and conditions, and assisting in the preparation and review of requests for proposals (RFP) and requests for quotations (RFQ).
Assisting in drafting and negotiating various contracts such as non-disclosure agreements, terms of engagement and standard terms and conditions.
Working closely with stakeholders, both internally and externally, to ensure that risks are identified and mitigated.
Conducting legal research for other members of the legal and business teams.
Providing advice on contractual provisions and the effects of applicable laws and regulations.
Helping to ensure that business activities comply with company standards and policies, and are aligned to relevant regulatory requirements.
Creating and maintaining policies around contract approvals, template management and document retention.
Providing general administrative support for the legal team.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Background
Previous experience of working in house or in a law firm on litigation transactions which, ideally, have included some form of disclosure exercise.
An interest in, and experience of, working in the power / renewable energy / infrastructure sectors - desirable*. Previous experience of working in-house in a related company or sector - desirable*.

Qualifications
