Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal who recently completed the Bar Practice course (BPC) to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a solid understanding of legal procedures. This role is essential in supporting our attorneys by managing case files, conducting research, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up to date. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent time management abilities.

Responsibilities



Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and pleadings. Conduct thorough legal research and gather relevant information for cases. Organise and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are filed correctly and accessible. Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal proceedings. Manage schedules, including appointments and court dates, using Outlook for efficient time management. Utilise Microsoft Word and Excel to create reports, spreadsheets, and presentations as needed. Support the team with IT-related tasks to ensure smooth operation of office systems. Attend court hearings or meetings as required to assist attorneys during proceedings.

Qualifications



Must have a Law background, completed Bar Practice Course (BPC) with 2-1 Results. Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a legal environment is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong time management skills to meet deadlines effectively. Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: 39,000.00-40,000.00 per year
