Hive Legal Ltd are a Support Services Company that provide Law Firms with excellent Business support such as Accounting, HR and People, Receptionists and Post Room Operators. We also provide our staff with a Health and Wellbeing Coach who runs biweekly PT sessions and various challenges throughout the week in our in-house Wellness Room.
Hive Legal Ltd are currently recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Housing Disrepair team or Industrial Disease team.
The role requires you to assist fee earners on the progression of a varied caseload of HDR or ID claims in a high-quality and commercially effective manner. To deliver high quality advice and assessment of new cases to new clients to meet their needs by explaining retainer documentation and completing compliance checks in order to close sales, and maintain retention and high standards of client care.

Good IT skills - we work in a paperless office, knowledge of Proclaim would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be provided
More than 6 months experience of working on legal claims.
Degree or relevant experience.
Proven record of training and progression within the Firm Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards to meet deadlines
Able to deal with a volume caseload in a commercial manner.
Able to effectively manage and meet client expectations
Able to deal with information sensitively and maintain confidentiality
Able to confidently represent the firm to third parties including lenders, insurers, solicitors and the court
Main Responsibilities:
Perform fee earning tasks on less complex work than would be expected at fee earner level in a commercially effective manner to meet agreed targets
Maintain the case file on the case management system accurately and clearly such that anyone picking up the file is able to understand the present position and be able to take responsibility for it if required
Maintain high standards of client care and ensure feedback is reported for Lexcel, Legal 500, Website or Ekomi purposes
Carry out tasks outside of the day to day fee earning to support the team such as providing training, generating repeat instructions from clients, and drafting content for LinkedIn and the website.
Performing administrative tasks to assist in the smooth progression of files
Ensure compliance with relevant regulation and applicable firm policies and procedures including the SRA Handbook
Report any material or non-material breaches of the regulations to the COLP/COFA
Effectively communicate with other staff and manage both upwards and downwards.
Recommend process changes to improve commercial management of matters
Trainee Solicitors - maintain registration with the Law Society
To communicate by email, letter and phone with new and existing clients in order to gather information, ensuring retention risk assessments are carried out.
Building ongoing relationships with clients and leads transferred by the Initial Contact Team
To create case files on the electronic legal case management system Proclaim
Building rapport with new clients in accordance with the firm's standards in order to identify client's needs
Explain to new clients retainer documentation and how to use our Securedocs and echosign software
Provide an adequate explanation of conditional and contingency fee agreements
Assist in training of new starters and more junior member of the team to project the right values and undertake daily duties.
Salary dependent on experience.
