Our Casualty team at DWF are currently hiring for a Paralegal, dealing with a varied caseload, ranging in value from small claim track to high-end fast track. The team mainly deal with bodily injury claims, including Road Traffic Accidents (RTA) and Employers Liability (EL) / Public Liability (PL) matters.



As a Paralegal you will play a key role in supporting one of our Chelmsford based clients, working within a small team of legal professionals, as part of our wider large London team, to deliver a high quality, professional service on behalf of DWF. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands on legal experience in a client facing role where you will be empowered to work autonomously and, in due course, manage your own caseload of high-profile cases.

The successful candidate must be able to work from the client site in

Chelmsford 1 to 2 days each week




Responsibilities:
Provide Paralegal support to our Chelmsford based client as part of the DWF Casualty team To action cases in line with the department's and client's service standards and protocols To act as a trusted member within the team, taking responsibility and ensuring the case management system is kept up to date with court orders, reviewing confidential records, and liaising with clients Dealing with technical aspects of the cases, under the supervision of more senior team members Progress cases to a satisfactory and speedy conclusion in accordance with the client requirements

What will help you succeed in this role? :

Essential



Experience working in a legal environment Strong communication and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume workload. Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with case management systems. A client-focused approach and a strong team player mentality.

Desirable



A law degree, LPC, or equivalent legal qualification Prior experience handling or assisting on litigated cases Experience working within motor injury and/or knowledge of personal injury claims processes and procedures
