What will you do?





The Court of Protection has appointed Samantha Buckthought as Property and Affairs Deputy for a large number of clients. Our team support these clients to manage their financial affairs.



The main purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the team alongside the other paralegals. Ensuring delivery of all administrative and paralegal requests for the Court of Protection Department are progressive, efficient and compliant and align with the firm's vision of delivering exceptional legal experience. Establishing a relationship of trust and respect with clients, families, support networks and experts.


To support the Lawyer with conduct of the file in the day to day running of their cases. Dealing with client, deputy and third party stake holder queries and correspondence, progressing matters and ensuring excellent standards of service to clients is met at all times. Attendance at client/deputy meetings, taking accurate and comprehensive notes. Liaising with clients, solicitors and other professional both over the phone and by email. Responsible for diarising due dates, tasks and reminders. Drafting a variety of court documents, benefit applications and any other official applications required. Prepare annual reports for the OPG. Communicating and making arrangements with suitable trades people. Obtaining quotes. Carrying out property visits when requested. Reviewing and collating documents. Managing your own workload and prioritising tasks. Maintain a compliant and accurate electronic files.
