Paralegal - Public Law & Human Rights, Education & Children's Rights, and Child Care



Location:

London / Hybrid (1-3 days per week in office, depending on team)

Salary:

Up to 25,000 per annum (DOE) plus on-target bonus

We are currently seeking Paralegals to join our London-based teams across Public Law & Human Rights, Education & Children's Rights, and Child Care. These are excellent opportunities for motivated individuals who are passionate about public law and making a real difference to people's lives.



You will play a key role in supporting our fee earners with casework, working directly with clients -- many of whom are vulnerable and facing challenging circumstances.

About the Roles:



Public Law & Human Rights

: Experience required (public law ideally within claims against against public authorities or judicial review cases).

Education & Children's Rights

: Experience required (community care, SEN, or education law matters).

Child Care

: No prior experience required, though volunteering or exposure to similar environments would be an advantage. Full training will be provided.

A genuine passion for public law and access to justice Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Excellent drafting, communication, and client care skills The ability to work sensitively with vulnerable clients and manage emotionally challenging situations A collaborative approach and commitment to diversity and equal opportunities

Key Responsibilities:



Drafting documents including correspondence and witness statements Preparing and updating court bundles Communicating with clients and third parties, both in writing and in person Attending court and supporting Counsel (advocacy may be required in Child Care matters at less complex hearings) Completing legal aid forms and liaising with the Legal Aid Agency Conducting legal research and ensuring case deadlines are met Assisting with client enquiries, file opening, and good file management
