Paralegal – Real Estate Property Litigation

Job Description

The Real Estate Litigation team has an outstanding reputation for handling all kinds of property disputes and is consistently ranked highly in the leading UK directories for real estate dispute resolution work, with two named "leading individuals" amongst its ranks.
This is a core and expanding team which comprises part of the wider Real Estate department, which is one of the strongest real estate practices in the UK. The team is respected both internally and externally as being a dynamic and expanding property litigation practice, which has stand-alone clients, as well as clients in common with the rest of the Real Estate Department.
We are seeking an experienced paralegal with a genuine interest in real estate litigation. The ability to prioritise what is at times a challenging workload and to work under pressure completes the picture.
Responsibilities

  • Running small matters under supervision
  • Dealing with discrete tasks in relation to matters (for example, research, letters, drafting documents)
  • Drafting and preparation of notices and basic lease renewal pleadings
  • Communicating effectively with clients
  • Assisting and supporting the team with complex and high-profile litigation matters
  • Providing support/mentorship to the team's Solicitor Apprentice
Key Skills & Experience
  • Undergraduate law degree
  • Previous experience in real estate work/property litigation would be highly advantageous
  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic, keen and proactive
  • Must be self-motivated
