The Mohammed Laher Institute is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to provide vital legal and administrative support across a range of matters. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and an interest in law to develop their career in a fast-paced environment.
As a Paralegal, you will assist with legal research, drafting, case preparation, and document management. You will work closely with senior colleagues, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and contributing to the smooth running of the Institute's legal function.
Duties
Case Support: Assist with the preparation of case files, correspondence, and legal documents.
Research: Conduct legal research on issues relevant to ongoing matters and provide concise summaries.
Drafting: Prepare and proofread contracts, agreements, and policy documents.
Document Management: Maintain accurate filing systems and ensure documents are up to date and compliant.
Compliance: Support monitoring of regulatory and legislative changes, ensuring policies remain compliant.
Liaison: Act as a point of contact with external solicitors, clients, and stakeholders where appropriate.
Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day assistance to the legal and HR teams as required.
Qualifications
Law degree, LPC, SQE training, or equivalent legal qualification (essential).
Previous paralegal, legal assistant, or administrative experience (desirable).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with MS Office and legal document management systems.
