Paralegal (social Housing Litigation)

Job Description

We're looking for two Paralegals to join our busy Social Housing Litigation team in either our Leeds, Newcastle or Manchester offices. You'll be assisting experienced Solicitors working on litigation cases; primarily housing disrepair matters.

What will I be doing



Assisting Solicitors, Associates and Partners in defending housing disrepair (primarily in pre-action cases) on behalf of social housing providers. Using precedents and own initiative to draft correspondence and standard documents. On-going file management / administration including updating the case management system. General file administration including file opening/closure, scanning, photocopying and general document management. Assisting others within the team with any other pertinent matters as may be required from time to time.

You'll have



Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-office team. Proficiency in Microsoft office and other IT packages. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet conflicting deadlines as well as flexibility and proactivity in supporting other within the team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience conducting legal research.
