Alphamed Scotland offers the provision of bespoke elite medical support in deployed settings and at events. Our team of highly experienced emergency medicine and critical care trained clinical staff, provide advanced pre-hospital care to ensure the delivery of safe events and long-term emergency care contracts throughout Scotland.

We have an exciting opportunity for a medic to work remotely in Highland Perthshire supporting a long-term large-scale project. We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, and dynamic paramedics, paramedic practitioners and nurse practitioners from the emergency setting to join our team.

You will be joining our company at exciting times as we rapidly grow and expand the business into long-term medical site cover. If you have an adaptive mindset, robust clinical skills, and previous remote medical experience, then this is the job for you!

This position is to provide deployed emergency, urgent and primary care to a remote and rural location. You will be required to work as an independent medic within your own scope of practice, supported by 24-hour access to a robust telemedical system.

As the face of Alphamed, you must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to manage challenging communication situations.

Role Tasks



The role will include the following key tasks:

Provide emergency, urgent, and primary care where required to those on site at the location Escalate clinical cases to the on-call telemedical service as required Fill in required paperwork relevant to patient care in line with company policies and procedures Maintain the clinical inventory lists on site, including stock taking, ordering and procurement where required Provide basic medical and trauma training updates and CPD to staff on site Liaise with local medical services to ensure joined up management of patients Be on-call for the duration of the rotation period Attend client facing meetings to ensure the appropriate development of the emergency care system at the project To co-operate with management to ensure an effective working partnership for clinical care Have a professional approach, always recognising the need for client discretion and confidentiality

Role Rotational System



You will be working for a period of 2-weeks on-site, with day-time clinic hours (except Sundays) and overnight on-call.

All food (3 meals a day) and appropriate accommodation is provided. A work vehicle suitably equipped for response to emergencies will be provided on site.

Capped travel expenses will be covered in addition to the salary, to cover a designated number of return road journeys for the number of set 2-week rotations within the contract. This journey will be performed in your own vehicle.

Education, Qualification and Experience



Appropriate professional degree or diploma A valid HCPC registration in the UK with no warnings, restrictions or supervision required to practice is essential Evidence of a minimum of 2 years post-graduate relevant clinical practice Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle ACLS, APLS, ATLS or equivalent life support courses and skills Demonstrable ability to work quickly, flexibly, and accurately in a dynamic, changing and pressured environment Demonstrable ability to use own initiative for overcoming challenges Demonstrable proactive approach Demonstrable ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of people Competent in the use of relevant Microsoft Office packages C1 license with emergency driving desirable

Pay: 285.00 per day
