We have an exciting opportunity for a Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HMP Winchester, a category B Prison located in Winchester.
Opportunities to progress for further scope and PPG pathway training will be provided, on-site parking and gym.
Hours
37.5 hours a week working 3 long shifts across a mixture of days and night shifts. 2 weeks of days, 7.30am-9pm and 2 weeks of night shifts 8.30pm-8.30am. 1.5 weekends every 4 weeks.
Salary
This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 44,962 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Provide outstanding evidence based case to our patients seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them - focussing on emergency and unplanned care to patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
• Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
• Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's care following our policies, procedures and always considering safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Qualified Paramedic with current experience
• Current professional registration (HCPC)
• Proven post-registration ambulance experience
• Evidence of continued professional development
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
• Proven experience in either: Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries / illness

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
