Paraplanner

Horsham, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Description

We're seeking an experienced and driven

Senior Paraplanner

to join our successful and award-winning Chartered Financial Planners. In this vital role, you'll deliver high-quality technical support, research, and reporting while collaborating as part of a cross-functional team ("Pod") of Financial Planners, Client Support Executives, and Paraplanners.

You'll help drive efficiency, foster collaboration, and continuously improve client outcomes for a first-class financial advice experience.

What you'll do

Prepare comprehensive and complex financial reports and suitability letters tailored to individual client circumstances. Collaborate closely with Financial Planners and advisers, proactively gathering key information and developing robust financial planning strategies. Conduct in-depth technical research and analysis on products, investments, pensions, and tax planning; stay up to date on legislation and trends. Take ownership of cases from inception to completion, often working autonomously and managing priorities to meet deadlines. Maintain regular client contact, addressing technical queries, and occasionally attending meetings to explain concepts and recommendations. Identify innovative investment and tax-saving opportunities for clients. Ensure compliance and quality across all work; regularly review and update report templates. Mentor and support the development of junior paraplanners, sharing your expertise. Embrace continuous professional development in line with FCA, CII, and company standards.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

Significant prior paraplanning experience, ideally with complex cases. Level 4 Diploma (CII) qualified, or equivalent. Deep technical knowledge of retail investments, pensions, savings, and protection products. Outstanding report writing skills, with extensive experience in suitability letter preparation. Excellent verbal and written communication, able to engage confidently with colleagues and clients at all levels. Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and accountable, you thrive in a collaborative environment and embrace continuous learning. Proficient in Microsoft Office and ready to complete training on our internal systems (Enable, Fusion, Wealth Platform).

The base

You'll be based at our Broadlands Business Campus near Horsham in West Sussex. It has high standards and international reputation, without being in the city: a big, countryside campus means life will feel a little different. We support our offices by using cutting edge software and hardware and our spacious campus facilities mean there's a great working environment for the team. With an on-site restaurant, coffee shop and gym, our campus has much to offer. And commuters can relax on our dedicated regular shuttle bus to and from Horsham's main line train station.
