Due to the continuing expansion of our business, we are looking for a Paraplanner or Trainee Paraplanner to join our team based in Ottery St Mary.

Your role with us will include:-
1. Deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties.
2. Collect and collate information in accordance with the principles of 'know your client' and ensure all the required compliance documentation is present and correct.
3. Working with the adviser, you will discuss the client's objectives, identifying and obtaining the information necessary to compile the financial suitability report.
4. Liaise with product providers and other third parties to acquire additional information that may be required to assess the clients' needs and to formulate recommendations.
5. Construct financial planning solutions (investment, retirement, tax and estate planning).
6. Assist in identifying areas for planning and sourcing solutions suitable to meet the clients' needs and objectives. This will include assisting in the preparation of tax calculations and cash flow forecasting, where necessary.
7. Prepare suitability letters and reports for approval by the adviser and prepare associated documentation as required. This will include the completion of documentation ready for clients to check and sign.
8. Working with other professional advisers - For example, solicitors and accountants to implement an agreed action plan when necessary.
9. Support and develop with the investment committee our CIP/CRP.
10. You may be expected to cover some responsibilities for colleagues who may be away from the business.
11. Other duties may be expected of you as the business evolves and as you evolve within the business.
