Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, good communication, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading. Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, in compliance with all road safety regulations Deliver goods to clients and customers across designated routes within specified timeframes Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly Maintain a clean and organised vehicle at all times Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues during transit Follow health and safety protocols at all times to minimise risks during driving and manual handling tasks

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members Strong organisational skills to manage routes and schedules effectively Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality in meeting deadlines
